Apple has just released iOS 11.0.1, the first update of the iOS 11. The update is available for all devices supporting iOS 11 and appears to be a minor, bug fixes and improvements update.
Although Apple did not give too much info about this update, outside of the fact that it fixes bugs and improves the system, I think it might attempt to fix some of the battery drain problems. iOS 11 has serious battery problems, in fact, I was forced to go back to iOS 10.3.3 on my main device due to the battery life being cut in half on iOS 11 and various other bugs and glitches.
At the same time, I think this update might contain improvements to the AR Kit and the Face ID, since these are brand new features and might have had bugs that slipped in, but don't quote me on that, as Apple did not really provide any insides of the update.
If you are running iOS 11, I definitely recommend updating to iOS 11.0.1, it might fix some of the problems, but if you're still on iOS 10.3.x, give it more time… The battery life is so poor on iOS 11, you would go back to 10.3.x in no time. I think iOS 11.1 might get all these sorted out, but until then, give it a bit more time.
