In today's #debunk video, we're debunking yet another iOS 12.1 to iOS 12.0 Jailbreak that is very popular on YouTube with close to 500k views, but of course, a hoax. The Jailbreak tutorial in cause instructs the users to get an app from the app store and use it for an amount of time and they will be jailbroken because "Cydia and Jailbreak code has been injected into the app". Of course, this is something that won't happen and by using this very popular method (unfortunately) you are not going to get a jailbreak.
The reason this kind of jailbreak will never be a thing is that you cannot simply inject Jailbreak code into an app from the App Store. That is not how the App Store works. Only the Application Developer who submitted the app there can do modifications to it, and of course, all the changes have to be approved by Apple before being published. There have been apps used for Jailbreak in the App Store before, like Pangu Jailbreak, but those were submitted by the jailbreak developers themselves and were very short-lived because Apple immediately took them down.
There are many tutorials of such kind, properly made, with a decent camera, a decent studio setup and proper voice instructions, and they may look convincing for the beginners in the #Jailbreak community, but rest assured, they are all nothing but hoaxes. There is, at the time of publishing this video, no jailbreak for #iOS 12.
