In today's video, we're discussing the unexpected release of the Chimera Jailbreak by the Electra Jailbreak Team. Coolstar and his team released just a few minutes ago the Chimera jailbreak for all devices including A12, running on #iOS 12.0 up to iOS 12.1.2. The Chimera Jailbreak includes Tweaks injection and Sileo and these also work for iPhone XS, XR, and iPhone XS MAX, making Chimera the very first jailbreak to fully support the A12 devices with tweaks. In this video, I am going to show you how to jailbreak any iOS 12.0 up to iOS 12.1.2 including how to jailbreak iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR.
The first beta looks relatively fluent, although I did run in some bugs with it. The initial tests show Chimera is a pretty robust jailbreak, however, it's not bulletproof. During my tests, various components of it failed unexpectedly. From Sileo not showing up, to Chimera failing at stage 1 or stage 2, there were some glitches here and there. Nothing major like a boot loop, but a new Beta will very likely be needed. With that being said, the A12 devices can finally install tweaks, which is pretty nice, I must say.
The Chimera jailbreak can be installed using Cydia Impactor by saurik. Speaking of Cydia, the #Chimera Jailbreak does not come with it at all. It comes with Sileo, an alternative built by the #Electra Team. While most major repos seem to work with Sileo, some of the older ones do not so keep that in mind.
