In today's video, we're discussing the #RootlessJB Jailbreak by Jake James. After impressing with its quick tweak support for iOS 12 back in February (at that point rootlessJb was the only jailbreak for #iOS 12 supporting #Tweaks), rootlessJB seems to be back with even more impressive achievements, this time for the A12 devices. The A12 devices (iPhone XS, XS MAX and iPhone XR) do not have a proper jailbreak with tweaks currently. It's been the longest unjailbroken iPhone series as far as I know. Well, things are about to change.
Sammy Guichelaar (@SammyGuichelaar), has posted a few hours ago a number of pictures with his A12 device running tweaks properly using RootlessJb. As far as I know, Sammy does testing for Rootless, so he might have received a testing build of Rootless by Jake James. It looks like Jake is closer than ever to having the first A12 Jailbreak with tweaks support. Pwn20wnd, one of the developers behind Unc0ver Jailbreak has posted a few hours ago on his Twitter account that people should, indeed, follow Jake if they're interested in a (temporary) solution for running tweaks on A12 devices.
Jake's method is implying his own fork of Substitute which is Open Source. This not only helps the current iOS 12.0 to 12.1.2 jailbreak but also the future iOS 12.1.3, iOS 12.1.4 and iOS 12.2 jailbreak since at that moment we'll hopefully have a properly updated Substitute to work with.
