In today's video, we're discussing the latest update to Unc0ver Jailbreak (v3.0.1) which comes with a major stability fix according to the developer Pwn20wnd. We're also discussing the current status of the #Unc0ver Jailbreak for the A12 devices (that being iPhone XS, iPhone XS MAX and iPhone XR) which are currently not jailbroken. We're also discussing some good progress Pwn20wnd is making in that direction and whether A12 people should update from iOS 12.0 / 12.1.2 to a newer firmware if they are interested in Jailbreaking their devices.
Currently, there is no full jailbreak for A12. Unc0ver does support the A12 devices but in a rather limited way. Only SSH is functional and many people don't exactly use UNIX binaries, so for them, SSH is rather pointless. A jailbreak with Cydia / Sileo and Tweak support via either Cydia Substrate or LibSubstitute is still yet to be seen. Whether that one will come first from Electra Team or it will be an update to the existing Unc0ver Jailbreak is less important. Both teams can do very good work and it will surely help the A12 folks who never experienced a jailbreak on their devices.
