In today's video, I will be showing you how to check if a Cydia Tweak is compatible with your #iOS version, #Jailbreak and device before installing it, which can potentially prevent issues caused by incompatible #Cydia #tweaks, including a bootloop which is an unrecoverable condition where the device would not boot past the Apple logo due to a bad tweak, a bad file system modification or other causes.
The method involves installing a tweak which will tell you in Cydia whether a tweak has been marked as compatible by the community, or if it is only partially working or not working at all. The tweak called tweakCompatible is an open-source and community driven utility which saved my bacon pretty often when I wanted to install older tweaks whose compatibility was not established.
The tweak adds a small panel in the page of the tweak in Cydia and lets you see the status, see the community reviews and even see the reviews per version of the tweak. With this, you know you won't destroy your device with an incompatible tweak.
