In today's video, we're going to sum up the current situation of the jailbreak community for the iOS 11.x and iOS 10.3.x Jailbreak. We're going to cover the current status of g0blin jailbreak, Electra Jailbreak, Meridian Jailbreak, and the currently available exploits for iOS 11.2 and iOS 11.2.2.
G0blin jailbreak is currently the recommended jailbreak for iOS 10.3.3 down to iOS 10.3 on all 64-Bit devices except iPhone 7 / 7 Plus. It has received just a few days ago the RC2 release, which stands for Release Candidate 2. The RC2 G0blin fixes some issues with Cydia not showing up, fixes the respring panic, disables dropbear and adds support for more devices. So, if you're jailbroken with g0blin jailbreak, it is recommended to update to the RC2.
For the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus running iOS 10.3 up to iOS 10.3.3, G0blin won't do. For these devices, Meridian Jailbreak is the solution. Meridian is currently on Beta 6 and can be found down below. For those of you running iOS 11.0 all the way up to iOS 11.1.2, Electra is the current stable jailbreak. According to coolstar, Electra will soon receive an update that will include a modified version of #Cydia. Cydia is something people always wanted for the iOS 11 jailbreaks, but none of them came with it for the moment because saurik is yet to update it and the substrate. If coolstar succeeds in building the modified Cydia, we might not need to wait for saurik anymore, at least not on iOS 11.x.
For those of you running iOS 11.2 all the way up to iOS 11.2.2, don't despair. Zimperium has announced an exploit and a write-up coming for their last iOS vulnerabilities. Although this might not be enough for a full jailbreak, it is certainly an entry point for researchers. For iOS 11.2.5, the situation is quite dire. There are no publicly available exploits for the moment, and Apple has closed the signing window for iOS 11.2.2 so downgrading is impossible. Will keep you updated further.
