In today’s video, we’re discussing the release of the CheckRa1n patch that enables support for A10 and A11 devices (allegedly). The patch was released and then removed by developer @exploit3dguy, for iOS 14.1 and iOS 14.0 and it has sparked some issues in the jailbreak community. In this video, I will also let you know why you shouldn’t use it.
The patch does nothing but to skip a check that the CheckRa1n Jailbreak team has to prevent jailbreaking these devices because of a serious security issue, and that is the inability to enable Passcode, Touch ID, Face ID, or password for your lock screen if you use the patch. It’s an issue that CheckRa1n is working on and thus why they never released this version to the public. Of course, @exploit3dguy released it without CheckRa1n’s approval and it’s therefore not recommended because it is unofficial.
