In today's video, we're discussing the release of #Unc0ver #Jailbreak Beta 42 which has just been released by Sam Bingner and Pwn20wnd to improve slightly the machswap exploit, add the support for A9 and A9X devices to the machswap exploit and Update the APT lists cache file for repositories. Even if you don't have an A9 or A9X you should still update to the latest Beta of the Jailbreak. However, we also have some bad news to discuss in this video, and this time they're coming straight from Apple.
The A9 and A9X devices are iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus, iPhone SE, iPad (2017) 5th Generation, iPad Pro (12.9 in.) (1st Generation) and iPad Pro (9.7 in.). These devices do have machswap exploit compatibility now, and as you probably remember from my previous video, machswap was created by IBSparkes and it's the fastest exploit on both iOS 11 and iOS 12. And not only fast, but the exploit is also actually very stable too. Using this exploit ensures that Unc0ver Jailbreak works fast and reliable and it takes less time for the jailbreak to be activated.
For a long time, the Beta 3 of iOS 12.1.1 was signed by Apple. While it's not recommended to stay on a Beta software (let alone a Beta 3), it was very useful for people who messed up and bootlooped. Unfortunately, Apple has stopped signing that beta today and one can no longer restore to it. At the time I am writing this, only iOS 12.1.3 and iOS 12.1.4 are still signed and these do not currently have publicly available exploits, so no Jailbreak.
