In today's video, we're debunking the iOS 12.0 up to iOS 12.1.2 #Untether for #Unc0ver #Jailbreak that was originally announced by @itsmechriswho. A few days ago they announced that they're working on untethering #iOS 12.x Jailbreak, which is not an easy task. An untethered jailbreak is a jailbreak that you apply only once and it persists. This means that if you reboot your device it will boot directly jailbroken with all the tweaks enabled. This also means no more signing every 7 days and no signing services that get revoked almost every week. The last public untethered jailbreak was Pangu for iOS 9.0.x, and the last achieved (but private) one was for iOS 11.
So, naturally, people were pretty excited about this Chris dude who said he's going to use a released vulnerability that has persistence to allegedly build an untether for the Unc0ver Jailbreak. When I asked him about the actual way he's going to do it (because I was highly skeptical due to his lack of past contributions), people started telling me I should give him a chance and that it'd be my fault if he quits. Turns out he was a poser. Me and Pwn20wnd (the developer behind Unc0ver Jailbreak) managed to prove he's basically clueless in what an untether does and how it works.
So here you have it. A video which should clarify our findings. There will, unfortunately, not be an untethered jailbreak for iOS 12, at least not from that person. I will keep you updated with everything that's going on in the jailbreak community, so don't forget to subscribe.
