In today's video, we have some bad news to discuss about the #Jailbreak-Me Unified project that was an alleged jailbreak framework being developed for iOS 4 all the way up to iOS 12.0.1. Following an argument between the Ukern Software, the developer of the #Jailbreak Me Unified with several big iOS developers in our community on the topic of mislabeling of his project, he decided to take the project down and stop working on it publicly.
In a nutshell, the developers called Ukern Software out for mislabeling his project. On the project website, it was advertised as being a jailbreak tool that works with #iOS 4 up to iOS 12.0.1 with some exceptions and there was even a "Slide to Jailbreak" button available. There was no element on the website that would give away the fact that this was not a jailbreak but rather a framework, or that this wasn't a finished project but a development one. This information was available on GitHub, but whoever happened to visit only the project page would not know that. This has led a few developers to call Ukern Software out to fix his stuff.
Now, the project wasn't something irreplaceable for iOS 12 / 11.4.1 anyways. It was using publicly available Webkit exploits that anybody else can use and the project source code is still available on GitHub. Remember that Ukern is a beginner in Jailbreak Development so he was learning while doing this project which tends to mean that we wouldn't have seen a fully featured jailbreak anytime soon from him anyways.
