In today's video, we're discussing Ian Beer's last two posts on Twitter where he announced that he will be releasing his iOS 11.4.1 exploits and he also talked a bit about iOS 12. Ian's advice is quite clear. If you want to stay on #iOS 11.4.1 waiting for exploits, they will come, however, the attention has now shifted entirely to iOS 12 and he recommends updating your personal, non-development devices to iOS 12 (that is, if care about the security of your data and your device).
According to Ian, there are much more patches in the iOS 12, than Apple announced publicly. They seem to have omitted to mention a vulnerability that allows sandbox escaping once exploited and it is present on iOS 11.x. At the same time, Ian recommends people running iOS 11.3.1 for security research (or Jailbroken) to remain there for the moment – an idea I fully support.
The iOS 12 security bulletin seems to only include iOS-only bugs this time (as opposed to those which affect iOS *and* MacOS.) There are far more fixes in iOS 12 than are mentioned, including a nasty logic bug to break you out of the app sandbox. Update your personal devices!

So yes, finally there is hope for iOS 11.4.1 to be jailbroken and yes, iOS 11.4.1 is, in fact, easier to jailbreak because there is no CoreTrust hardening on it compared to 12. Whether you stay on iOS 11.4.1 or update to 12 is highly depending on what you value more: security of your data/device or a quicker #jailbreak (though with the security risks staying on a lower firmware implies). An iOS 12 untethered jailbreak has already been achieved, however, I doubt it will be released. However, with Ian's exploits, Electra Jailbreak can easily be updated to support 11.4.1.
