In today's video, we're discussing two very important topics in the iOS community. The first being the Sileo (legit Cydia alternative) being ported to work on Unc0ver Jailbreak and whether you should use it as it is, or wait for the official release, and the second topic is pretty much legacy #iOS devices #downgrade #untethered with a tool released by Dora2-iOS called s0meiyoshino which allows no SHSH downgrades to be performed on iPhone 4 and its revisions.
The #Sileo issue has been more and more clear as Sileo progressed to be a generally good looking and functional #Cydia alternative. While in Beta it is closed source and not available for other Jailbreaks. Electra is currently the only jailbreak supported by the official Beta, but many people would like to have a chance to try Sileo on Unc0ver. Compatibility packs are being made for Sileo and various attempts (quite successful to some extent) were made to port it to Unc0ver. However, one should be careful when using such patches and ports because they seem to break with new updates and they seem to be generally unstable.
I'd recommend people to wait for the actual open source version or the official port, before trying Sileo on Unc0ver, to mitigate the possibility of messing things up. As for s0meiyoshino, it seems to be a very nice tool that allows one to downgrade to iOS 5.x up to 7.1.1 on an iPhone 4 and its revisions and the downgrade is untethered unlike all the other downgrades available. This means that you don't need to plug in the phone to the computer every time you power it on, which has been a major issue with other downgrade methods. This method takes advantage of @xerub's De Rebus Antiquis iBoot exploit, released in 2018.
