Today we have some interesting news to discuss about in the world of iOS Downgrading. Apparently, according to iDownloadBlog, a team of 3 developers have managed to downgrade an iOS 9.3.5 device back to iOS 9.x without any Jailbreak or any iBoot or Bootrom exploit. Everything they've used was a specific tool / script they've built, kLoader (a known and widely used tool in iOS Downgrades) and saved SHSH blobs for the specific version to which the device is downgraded.
A lot of you have been sending me the link to the article on Twitter, so I decided to also analyze it and inform you about it. Although the project looks very promising, it will require you to have saved the blobs for the version you wanna downgrade to, which makes it less useful, considering that very few people did save them blobs.
Anyways, this method is apparently built on top of a BUG, a vulnerability in the way the iPhone restores iOS Software (as I said numerous times, there are a lot of them in the Restore process, just not enough people paid attention to this yet). It will only support 32-Bit devices (iPhone 5, 5C, iPhone 4S, some iPads and iPod Touch 5th), but that's not an issue, x64 users have Prometheus by @tihmstar.
