iOS 10.0.2 – New Firmware Manager Update (version 20.2) | Download parts of the IPSW

Today I released an updated version of F.C.E. 365 Firmware Manager application that I built for making the Firmware modification tutorials easier to be followed. The updated version complies with iOS 10.0.2 and in the next version we will switch to full iOS 10 DMG file support (for encryption / decryption / ASR patch, IMG4 patch and so on).

In this version we introduced a new feature called "Partial Download". This feature helps you to download parts of an iPSW file, for example the Ramdisk, KernelCache or any other component without downloading the whole IPSW file (that goes bigger than 2GB). This saves you a lot of time, and internet band. 🙂
To be able to do this, we use iNeal's PartialZIP, feel free to check out the GitHub in the credits.

In this version (20.2) we also addressed a couple of bugs that were reported through our bug tracking channels. The app got some stability enhancements.

It is recommended for you to update to the latest version if you use an older build.
