A new Jailbreak has been demoed at Defcon a couple days ago, this time for the Apple Watch. Max Bazaliy, a security researcher and co-fonder of Fried Apple Team has demonstrated jailbreaking the device and creating an SSH connection to it. The slides were published by Max and if you're interested in security research and hacking on Apple products, you can take a look on it.
Although the jailbreak hasn't been released, it still means a lot for the community as it hints to the fact that security researchers are still interested in finding vulnerabilities and jailbreaking the iOS, watchOS and even tvOS.

Fried Apple Team has also demonstrated some more jailbreaks on a previous presentation held at Blackhat Asia 2017 so we do know that Max and his team are interested in iOS as well, not only on watchOS.
Although a jailbreak on Apple Watch may not be as useful as one on an iPhone or an iPad, it is still a great achievement.
