In today’s video, we’re talking about an incredible achievement in the jailbreak community. The iPhone 12, Apple’s latest and greatest, has been jailbroken for the first time ever by security researcher Liang Chen on iOS 14.2. Their jailbreak also gave them a functional ROOT SSH on iOS 14.2! This is NOT only for iPhone 12. Their exploit works on A13, A12, A11, etc.
This is pretty massive. iPhone 12 has a brand new chip (A14) which has never been jailbroken before. Most importantly, this is not only for iPhone 12. If this exploits ever gets released, iOS 14.2 would become jailbreakable. So will iOS 14.1, iOS 14.0.1 and iOS 14.0. ABC Research also managed to jailbreak iOS 14.2 with ROOT SSH working, but on iPhone SE 2020 which is A13. Pretty big achievements, considering that iOS 14.2 is Apple’s latest iOS version.
