In today’s video, we’re discussing the release of iOS 14.4 RC by Apple for the registered developers, and we’re also discussing the brand new Unc0ver Substitute 2.0.7 release by the Unc0ver Jailbreak Team which supports iOS 14.3 down to iOS 11.0. The update adds support for cycript injection into backboard daemon. We’re also discussing whether you should avoid iOS 14.4 if you wanna jailbreak.
Please do keep in mind that although Unc0ver’s Substitute is updated to support iOS 14.3 and lower even on A12, A13, and A14 devices, Unc0ver itself isn’t, and cannot be used for jailbreaking iOS 14 yet. The Substitute is the engine #Unc0ver Jailbreak uses to enable tweaks and themes to load and run properly and it’s a crucial part of a jailbreak. Seeing it updated for iOS 14 is a good sign, but do not get your hopes too high for now and stay as low as possible, preferably below iOS 14.2 if you wanna jailbreak your iDevice as soon as possible.
