In today's video, we're discussing the latest achievement of Ben Sparkes, the developer behind the Meridian Jailbreak and the two kernel exploits used in the iOS 12 Jailbreaks. Ben has successfully achieved an iOS 12.4 Jailbreak with Cydia which he teased on his Twitter account just a few hours ago. It appears that Ben has achieved tfp0 on iOS 12.4, otherwise, it would be pretty hard to Jailbreak. Ben is a known security researcher in our community and he has released multiple things in the past. While it is not currently sure whether he's going to release this or not, we'll likely know by the time iOS 12.4 gets out of Beta.
Since Ben successfully got #Cydia running, it means that Cydia may not need any serious updates to work on iOS 12.1.3 all the way up to iOS 12.4. This is great because it means that we can include it in a Jailbreak right away. Of course, Ben did not provide any information about his Jailbreak achievement, but he did hint to APFS being the component he exploited. The APFS kext is part of the Kernel and it does make sense to look for vulnerabilities in there.
