In today’s video, we’re discussing whether or not untethered jailbreaks are still possible in 2020, and whether we can untether Unc0ver Jailbreak and CheckRa1n (and what it would take to do so). For those unaware, an untethered jailbreak is a jailbreak that you only have to run once and after that, it persists even after a reboot without your intervention and without PC / IPA signing.
Currently, #CheckRa1n is a semi-tethered Jailbreak, which means it requires your device to be connected via USB to a computer or a dongle to be able to Jailbreak it. #Unc0ver is a semi-untethered, one step closer, but still not quite untethered because even Unc0ver requires you to re-run it after a reboot and the device boots into unjailbroken / stock state initially.
