In today’s video, we’re discussing the latest update I released for my tool, GeoSetter which is a NonceSetter for iOS #Downgrades with SHSH2 blobs. The tool allows one to set the Nonce Generator from the saved SHSH2 blobs onto the device’s NVRAM so that one can use the blob with FutureRestore for a downgrade / restore to an unsigned iOS version. #GeoSetter supports iOS 12.0 all the way up to iOS 12.4 with #iOS 12.3 and iOS 12.3.1 being unsupported currently due to lack of tfp0 kernel exploits. In this video, I will also show you how to set the Nonce Generator with GeoSetter on your device.
This Nonce Setter is completely independent of your #jailbreak (or lack of thereof). You can use it even if you’re running Electra, Chimera or Unc0ver, or even RootlessJB. It doesn’t interfere in any ways with the jailbreaks. I coded GeoSetter so that it would grab tfp0 by itself using the sock_port exploit by Jake James so that you don’t need to even be jailbroken to set the nonce generator. Currently, A7 through A11 devices are supported. The A12 devices aren’t supported currently, so no iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max or iPhone XR. Those will be given an error in the UI letting you know you’re running on an incompatible device.
