In today's video, we're discussing the security contents of the newly released iOS 12.3 which was pushed by Apple just a few hours ago. With it, we finally have an insight into the vulnerabilities that were patched (and where in the system). These vulnerabilities are what keeps the jailbreak community alive, so it is important to know what has been patched and how important it is so that you can make educated guesses on which #iOS version you should stay on. At any rate, in this video, I have pretty good news for the people waiting for a jailbreak on iOS 12.2, iOS 12.1.4 and iOS 12.1.3.
A few security researchers have already announced the fact that they are going to post soon their exploits, PoCs, and write-ups. These vulnerabilities range from Sandbox escapes, privilege escalations, kernel exploits, and WebKit exploits. All of them very useful in the right context, but none of them enough alone to make a jailbreak. Google Project Zero seems to be back at it with 3 kernel vulnerabilities. Two of them are denial of services which only causes the kernel to panic, so not very useful for us, but one of them can be used to execute arbitrary code with system privileges. Although it was confirmed not to be tfp0, it may still be interesting.
