In today’s video, I will show you how to create a virtual machine on iOS to be able to run real Linux, Android and even Windows, or any other operating system, just like you do on a computer. A very powerful tool called UTM has been released for iOS 11 all the way up to iOS 13.3 and it doesn’t require a Jailbreak to work.
If you ever wanted to run virtualized operating systems on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, now you can. UTM is based on qemu and it supports more than 30 processors and various architectures from x86_64 to arm and even RISK. Imagine UTM like a VirtualBox alternative but for iOS, and it doesn’t even need a jailbreak to work. You can boot ISO files, IMG files and so on. The virtualization is fast and secure according to the UTM website, and the UTM application is actually completely open-source, so anybody can contribute or review the code. This is very useful if you wanna have various OSes on the go, especially if you have a newer iPhone or an iPad.
