iOS 10.0.2 – How to Correctly Extract Setup.App For Patching With Firmware Manager

Hi guys, so, today in this video I will demonstrate how you can correctly extract Setup.App from ROOT File System so that you can avoid getting it to be 0 bytes. This 0 bytes effect appears when you try to use TransMAC to extract the file and YOU CAN'T really use that file if it's 0 bytes (it usually corrupted).

So, if we can't use TransMAC, what can we use on Windows?
Well, the answer is as simple as Hello World apps.
Catacombae's HFS Explorer can easily and freely do the trick and extract you the file correctly so that you can feed it to Firmware Manager and use it as a template for making the automated Setup.App Patch.

The automated Setup.App Patch is a new feature I introduced yesterday for Firmware Manager users, see the demo, how to use it and the explanations here:  https://youtu.be/84vp72oTlJE
