Get Windows Phone UI on iPhone With RedStone Cydia Tweak (iOS 10.x)

Today we're going to check out a very interesting Cydia Tweak called "RedStone Insider Preview" which aims to bring the Windows Phone 8.1 / Windows Phone 10 look and feel to your iDevice. The tweak works by replacing the normal iOS SpringBoard with the Start Screen from Windows Phone, and it also includes the Lock Screen and the application manager list.

In fact, using RedStone, you can't really tell whether your device suddenly got Windows Phone 10 or it is just a tweak, since the features are very close to the actual Windows Phone from Nokia Lumia for example. I don't use to make single tweak reviews on the channel, but this tweak is definitely way more than a "simple tweak" considering the amount of work that went into into it.

As for now, RedStone is in "Insider Preview" (Beta) which means you might experience bugs here and there but the latest update appears to have fixed most of them for me. With the recent update, you can also experience some Live Tiles. For those of you who aren't very familiar with Windows Phone, each application you pin on the Start Screen has its own square with its name and icon, called a tile. Live tiles also contain realtime info like the temperature (Weather app) or faces of your contacts for the People App.

Overall, a very interesting tweak that I definitely recommend you to check it out.
