A new jailbreak to be released by Tigris Team? Antique_Dev who is part of the Tigris Team has posted earlier today on his Twitter account a statement; They will be undergoing some tests for the iOS 10.2.1 jailbreak and will release soon if everything goes as it should.
The Tigris Team has been formed somewhere in June as far as I know, and it is made out of a couple Cydia Tweak developers. Antique_Dev himself is a tweak developer which hints to the fact that they DO know how patches work, and how iOS work, at least to a greater extent than the average Joe. Of course, that doesn't make you a jailbreaker, Jailbreaks take a huge amount of works for finding bugs, exploiting them, creating patches and building the backend for your jailbreak, but I suspect they will be using Adam Donenfeld's Kernel Exploit, which should slice over 50-60% of the work needed for such a jailbreak.
Although the team has been under fire before for an alleged 9.3.5 jailbreak promised that was never released, the Team has explained the matters: One of the team members has lied to the whole team claiming he has achieved the jailbreak and they've posted the tweet, once they've found out the dude lied, it was too late, their image has already been damaged. It remains to be seen now whether they will deliver or not.
